Tar Heel Leadership, THL, is a joint endeavor of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, ShareLife Ministries, and Center Grove Church.
Tar Heel has three campuses: one in Rocky Mount, NC, one in Clemmons, NC, and one in Asheville, NC. Our three campuses allow men from all over the state to gather at a location closest to them.
Tar Heel Leadership combines teaching and pastoral training from men who are experienced and proven in ministry with individualized guidance generated by on-the-spot discussion by pastors, for pastors, and among pastors. In addition, Tar Heel provides individualized coaching through the year via on-site visits and regular contact between gatherings.
The result of Tar Heel Leadership is the creation of a growing “band of brothers” forged in an environment of confidentiality, encouragement, shared insights, and mutual accountability.
The long-term results include healthier and more effective churches helped by strengthened pastors.
